EcoGreen’s prowess in sustainability reached new heights with the completion of a groundbreaking retrofit at Rocket Farms in Half Moon Bay. This endeavor marked a historic milestone, being the largest project in PG&E’s On-Bill Financing (OBF) program history, with a remarkable investment of $5.3 million. Over a span of 10 months, EcoGreen meticulously retrofitted the greenhouses with cutting-edge horticulture lighting, implemented Variable Frequency Drives (VFDs) on wells and irrigation systems, and upgraded to EC Motors in cold storage areas. Additionally, the entire campus was adorned with energy-efficient LED lighting, both inside and out. This transformative project not only exemplifies our commitment to sustainability but also sets a new standard for eco-friendly initiatives in agricultural practices.
